Losing a staring contest with my computer

Simple Kid – Seratonin

Monday, August 20th, 2007

First thing, you should check out this artist. The band is “Simple Kid” (http://www.simplekid.com/). I don’t know that much about them/him but from what I have read, people compare him to Beck. I might add to the comparison as I hear some Dandy Warhols here and there. This track is off of his album “2″ that was released mid last year. The rest of the album is even more rhythm heavy than this track and therefore. I was worried about putting up the tracks that I like the most as I am afraid of getting in trouble for offering all of these band’s tracks for free. This track, ‘Seratonin’, was already offered in promotion for his appearance at 2007 SXSW at http://audio.sxsw.com/2007/mp3/Simple_Kid-Seratonin.mp3. So I am not to blame for piracy.

New ATP Promo Poster

Sunday, May 13th, 2007

I was tasked to make a poster for our band. This is what I came up with after an hour or so of work. Let me know what you think. I really like the organic feel of it, yet it stays clean. Also it had to be extremely different from all other band posters that I have seen.
