I have recently tasked myself, and inadvertently ‘A Thousand Plateaus‘, with performing a new song every show. As they don’t know this yet, this may cause some awkward situations; however, I think this is the best way for us as a “band” to learn how to write quality music. I am sure that along the way there will be some that absolutely blow, and those we will eventually throw out. As my college communications prof used to say ‘you have to go to crazy land in order to experience your own good work’.

Seeing as we have a show this coming Saturday I thought about refining an idea I had already worked on. This is a little ditty I threw together with Joel’s lyrics about a month and a half ago. A little Jack Johnson-ey but in some of (what I think are) the good ways. Joel would sing this song, however, I have yet to speak with him about whether or not this is the musical direction he wishes to go with his lyrics or if he wants something a little less, oh lets see… adjective… adjective… blithe?
