So I wanted to post this right now because it is fresh. Rob is leaving for San Francisco today. Okay, well he is leaving for Chicago and then next week he will be leaving for San Fran (after Neocon). The music that is in this music player is music that I will remember this time in my life by.

The songs really have no special meaning for Rob leaving, lyrically, musically or otherwise, only that I really like them right now, and as usual I know I will someday listen to these songs and these emotions will be brought back as if I am here again today. I have had that with many songs, I am sure you have too… studying for exams, driving to a party in high school, breaking up with ex-girlfriends… etc.

Also, I should note that this is not a sad post. I definitely will miss Rob, but I have confidence that as my best friend Rob is not leaving my life. We will separate for a while and someday will have to go through the process of re-joining. I know that will not be difficult because 1) with transportation the way that it is today, the country is not nearly as large as it used to be. San Fran is only $200 away. 2) Rob has traveled a lot this past year and so I have gotten used to him leaving and coming home again. I see this as just a really long business trip. 3) once we both have the Apple iPhone we will be able to chat to each other while one of us is in Wegmans and the other is in Bombay Cuisine (or something like it).

Rob, let me know what you think of these songs. I might send the CD in the package we are sending you so you can have it for your travels, new apartment, and future memories.
